Personal skin for laptops has been out there for quite a while. (I think Dell had a promotion campaign which gave free skins for Dell laptops in 2005). The designs didn't seem to meet Mac user's standard though :-)
There are quite a few established skin producers for Macbooks now. One of them is www.MacVatar.com. This producer focuses exclusively on Macbook 13. Nice designs but somewhat pricey.
Others make skins for literally everything, like www.decalgirls.com . Lower price but kind-da identities for sale.
